Living room makeover in our 60s home - Jane Foster

We moved into our 60s house over a year ago now but hadn't time to renovate the living room until this past week. My partner did the renovations - first he added a wide window sill and tongue and groove cladding under the windows to create a wide shelf (and to also insulate under the windows.) He then painted the floor white with a large roller before we moved all the furniture in again. (Well, not all of it - we wanted it to look more spacious so left a side board out!) Here are some snap shots  -  it's looking very calm at the moment - not my usual style of filling every bit of wall space with all our pictures! I imagine more colour (and clutter!) will creep in gradually.
