Stitching with Jane Foster - my new cross-stitch children's book

I'm thrilled to announce that my new book 'Stitching with Jane Foster' is due to be published August 3rd 2017. It includes 37 quick and easy cross-stitch sewing cards along with a 36 page project book featuring instructions for designing your own unique stitching patterns and colour combinations. The book is suited to children ages 5+

A project gallery within the book shows examples of how to use your stitched cards : everything from bookmarks, cards and ornaments.

One of the things I like about this book is that the reverse of each stitching card is black and white so that children can choose their own colours and colour in these if they want to.

My Nanna taught me to sew when I was a child and I still remember going to visit her and asking if we could do some sewing together. I'd escape into another world and would love looking into all her various sewing boxes -  all her colourful threads and various packets of different size needles. We used to chat whilst we did our sewing and now these memories are flooding back whilst I do the very same thing with my daughter.

I hope this book will bring lots of happiness to lots of children, parents and grandparents - to inspire a lifelong love of embroidery and being creative.

The book is published by Quarto Publishing Group USA. It's available to buy online from various shops in the US and UK including Waterstones (UK), Lovereadingforkids (UK), Amazon (UK), Target (US) and Amazon (US).

I'd love to hear how you get on with it and if you choose to buy a copy from Amazon, I'd be really grateful if you could leave me a review.

You can see a little video of my daughter sewing here.
